Eating support that works with your brain, not against it
Because recovery works best when it fits the person, not the other way around.

Compassionate, evidence-based support for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Whether you're neurodivergent or not, we'll work together to find an approach that feels achievable, sustainable, and right for you.
What is SafePlate Dietetics ?
SafePlate Dietetics is a specialist dietetic practice providing compassionate, evidence-based nutrition care for people of all ages. Founded by Jess Farrow, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with almost 10 years of experience, the practice has a special interest in eating disorders, ARFID, neurodivergence, gastrointestinal conditions, chronic illness, and family nutrition.

SafePlate Dietetics was built on a simple belief: nutrition care should be as individual as the person sitting in front of us.
We know there is no single "right" way to eat, recover, or care for your health. Every person brings their own experiences, strengths, challenges, values, and goals, so our approach is tailored to you.

Whether you're navigating an eating disorder, rebuilding your relationship with food, managing a medical condition, supporting a neurodivergent child, or simply looking for practical nutrition advice, we're here to meet you where you are.

Our approach is collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in current evidence. Rather than focusing only on food or symptoms, we help people build confidence, develop practical skills, better understand their bodies, and create sustainable habits that support a full and meaningful life.

You'll find no diet culture, judgement, or unrealistic expectations here. Instead, you'll find a safe and supportive space where we work together to discover what nourishment, recovery, and wellbeing look like for you.

SafePlate Dietetics operates within GP and pyschology clinic settings and works closely with GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other members of your healthcare team to provide coordinated, accessible care that fits into everyday life.

Our goal isn't to help you fit into a plan, it's to create an approach that feels safe, achievable, and genuinely works for you.

What it feels like here
Appointments here don't follow a script. There is space to be honest about where you're at, ask questions, change your mind, or simply not have all the answers yet.
You don't have to have the "right" words. You can bring notes, bring a support person, keep your camera off during telehealth, or tell me when something isn't working for you.

There is no expectation to be perfect, fully motivated, or making progress every week. Recovery is rarely that straightforward.
The goal isn't to completely change your relationship with food overnight. It's to find what feels possible right now, for the brain and body you have, and build from there, one step at a time.
